CAAAD Awards & Lunar New Year Celebration

The Lunar New Year Festival is CAAAD's main fundraiser. Your support will enable us to continue innovative outreach efforts to Asian American voters through Asian-language media, telephone, and direct mail. 2012 will be an important election year. Your efforts are critical to ensuring that our elected officials will continue to fight for us and our community's values.

Important Info. about CAAAD's Endorsement Process for the March Democratic Primary

CAAAD has rescheduled our endorsement vote for the 2012 Democratic Primary at the Travis County Democratic Party Primary Candidate Forum on Thursday, February 9th. In order to be eligible to vote in endorsement and officer elections, CAAAD bylaws require members to have paid their dues at least 30 days prior to the endorsement vote, unless they are current on membership dues. Individuals who did not pay dues for the 2011 calendar year must submit their membership dues by no later than 11:59:59 PM CST on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Members who paid their dues for 2011 can renew their memberships at any time before the endorsement vote is held; if you were a financial supporter of the 2011 CAAAD Awards & Lunar New Year Celebration, then you are a paid member for 2011. Dues paid after October 01, 2011, will apply to membership for the remainder of this year as well as the 2012 calendar year.

Dues are $10 for regular members and $5 for students for 2012. Dues and additional donations can be paid online or you can bring cash or check made out to "CAAAD Asian American Progress PAC" to the next CAAAD meeting on Tuesday, December 6th.
